$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Teacher Grants Committee 2006-2007 TIPS FOR
WRITING PTA TEACHER GRANT PROPOSALS CONSIDERATIONS WHEN WRITING AND
AWARDING GRANTS: 1. The
teacher submitting the proposal must be a current member of the Pine Tree Middle School PTA (Please
contact Sheila McNaney for questions. Contact information is in the school
office.) 2.
The total
amount available for the 2006-2007 school year is
$8,500. 3.
We usually do not consider anything over $1,000 for
an individual teacher. 4.
The PTA may partially fund proposals and encourage
proposals broken down in stages with
the appropriate amounts. 5.
The PTA may locate funds to fulfill your grant
through other sources if possible. 6.
Consumable items and field trips are rarely granted. 7.
Grants must include : ·
the length of time materials can be used ·
whether the materials
can be shared with other teachers or classrooms. ·
how many
students will be served. 8.
PTA
prefers materials be bar coded in the library and checked out for use, if possible. NOTE: YOU MAY
SUBMIT: 1.
A grant by grade level (materials entire grade
level can use/share) 2.
A grant with a partner or group 3.
An individual grant NOTE: All proposals
must be submitted as a hard copy by the deadline: Friday, March 2nd for the 5/6 Campus and Monday, March
19th for the 7th Grade Campus. The one page proposal can be printed off the
Donors Choose website, and the name
of the teacher submitting the proposal must include his/her name at the top
of the page. Proposals should be either
placed in the PTA mail box on campus or mailed to: Sheila McNaney, (address in the
school office) REMEMBER: 1.
Include shipping/handling and other hidden costs in
your request. 2.
The amount requested is the maximum amount approved. 3.
If money is not used by the given date, it will no
longer be available to you. 4.
If you leave this campus, the materials belong to
and remain at this campus. 5.
You must be a PTA member to receive a grant. 6.
We really want to help you! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ |
