MARKETING DYNAMICS/MARKETING MANAGEMENT
Welcome to Marketing Dynamics and Marketing Management. My name is Alice Gage, and this class is a favorite of mine because we have an opportunity in class to look at every aspect of what drives our economy and the world economy. Students will have an opportunity in class to learn through hands-on experience the different aspects of marketing. Some of these experiences will involve creating classroom businesses and following through the entrepreneurial process.

In addition to classroom work, students will have off-campus jobs where they will continue to acquire skills that will benefit them as they enter the job market in the future. Becuase of this extra training time, students receive three credits for this class.

HEALTH CARE SCIENCE
Welcome to Health Care Science. In Health Care Science, students will have an opportunity to explore various allied health care professions. Through speakers, field trips, and research, students will learn about educational requirements, salaries, duties, and employment opportunities for specific jobs in health care.

In class students will have opportunities to do class projects and presentations. Group work is an effective method used in class to learn new material.

Tuesday, 8-15

1. copy quote and terms from board
2. turn in field trip permission forms and handbook/military forms
3. make a list of 10 of your strengths and 10 of your weaknesses
4. complete “Reaching for Tomorrow” and discuss
5. discuss “Interview Presentation;” interview someone in any career using questions on p. 4 of “Reaching for Tomorrow” handout – due on Wednesday; use “Questions to be answered when choosing a career” when interviewing; be sure to use visual aids; bring them to class on Thursday to begin working on presentation

Thursday, 8-17

1. copy quote and terms from board
2. turn in field trip permission forms and handbook/military forms
3. using interview questions from “Reaching” start working on class “Interview Presentations;” have partner check for errors
4. plan to go to lab on Wednesday 8-23, to type presentation
5. start working on visual aids
