Welcome to 5th Grade!! I am Alicia Hipke. I have taught 5th grade math for the past thirteen years at Pine Tree Middle 5/6. I hope this site helps you out whether you are checking a homework assignment or looking for what was missed due to an absence. I will make an effort to keep up to date, however the best communication is to look over your child's assignment/behavior chart each day.

My conference period is from 1:55 until 2:50 each day. If you would like to set up a conference or just want to call, please call during this time. The phone number is 903-295-5160. You may also reach me at ahipke@ptisd.org, and I will reply as soon as possible. I check my email during my conference time each afternoon.

Homework will be given on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings. Please check your child's assignment sheet or the weekly lesson page on this site to see what has been given for the evening. Sometimes students will finish their homework in class.
Please encourage your child to study vocabulary and flash cards each evening.

I am thrilled to work with two fantastic teachers. Mrs. Carlisle teaches Language Arts and Mrs. Grimes teaches the Science/Social Studies. As you can tell from the picture, we work very well together!
