This is Mrs. McRuiz's eighth year in education and second year at Pine Tree Intermediate School. Before becoming a librarian, she was a teacher and a coach. Mrs. McRuiz has a bachelors degree in English from the University of Texas at Arlington and a masters degree in library science from the University of North Texas. Something that Mrs. McRuiz loves besides reading is animals. She has three cats and one ferret.

A new member of the family is her and her husband's baby girl Katie who was born Dec. 27, two days after Christmas. She has brought lots of joy and fulfillment into their lives. "She's a real delight and we love her so much," she said.

Mrs. Palmer has been in education almost 40 years with 4 of those years at Pine Tree Intermediate. Prior to that Mrs. Palmer was working in the library at Tatum Primary School. In addition to her job in the library she also drives the special needs bus. She has been driving a bus for nearly 40 years as well.

Mrs. Palmer is married and has one daughter and a grandson in college. Her hobby is fishing. "I love to fish," she said.
