I’m originally from South Louisiana and I’ve lived in Texas since May of 1980. I have a BA degree in Elementary Education with a minor in English, from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana where I was awarded an athletic scholarship to play basketball.
I received my Texas Teaching Certificate in 1983 from A&M University at Commerce, Texas.
I've been happily married for 30 years and I have 3 beautiful children.
Teaching has been a wonderful part of my life for the past 23 years. I’ve taught 2nd grade for 5 years, 4th grade for 6 years, and now 7th grade here at Pine Tree for the last 12 years. I think I’m very fortunate to be able to teach a subject that I absolutely love and I hope to introduce the students to some great reading and make this year an unforgettable one.
