Welcome to Mrs. Anderson's Class!

Hello! My name is Mrs. Anderson and I teach Advanced and Regular Reading. I am a Pine Tree Graduate as well as University of Texas Graduate (Hook em'Horns!) so I know through experience the awesome education that Pine Tree ISD provides to all students.
I have taught at Pine Tree 15 years and love teaching 7th graders! There is never a dull moment with this age group!

A detailed guidelines letter along with my grading policy will be sent home to be read and signed by both parent and student. This is to be kept in the student's folder at all times for future reference.

Accelerated Reading (AR)

3RD SIX WEEKS: 20 AR POINTS DUE
MONDAY, DECEMBER 15 -- (9 of those points are over book we read and studied together in class so everyone should get 9 pts. easily.)
5.5 LEVEL OR HIGHER
**Exception: 4.5-5.4 qualifies if it has 200 or more pages***

Each six weeks, a major test grade will be taken based on points earned. A daily grade will be taken based on the average of all tests taken that six weeks.
** Advanced Reading students must meet 6 week minimum AR requirements or they will be exited from the class and placed in Regular Reading.

FRI. 11/21: **GOING TO THE MOVIES!! Leave 8:30 am! City of Ember!! Bring money for concessions.

**It is your responsibility to have chapters read and assignments turned in on grading due dates, regardless of absences, field trips, performances etc. Turn in work early or come in early and read when you know you will be absent.**
