Hi. My name is Carol Barnard, and I have been in education for 31years. I graduated from Baylor University in 1978 with a degree in Elementary Education.  Later on I recieved my Special Ed. certification. This is my 19th year at Pine Tree. I have two children that graduated from Pine Tree. My daughter is 29 and teaches first grade in Carrollton. My son is 24, and he is a geology major at SFA. I have been married to my husband for 31 years . 
         I love to shop, read, travel, visit with friends,and I am involved with church activities at First Baptist Church. I became a grandmother this past summer. Hunter arrived at the end of June, and I'm discovering the joys of having a grandson!          
        I enjoy working with students in small reading groups each day to give them various strategies to help them be successful. My purpose is to guide students through small group instruction to meet their IEP goals and to support the grade level instruction these students receive in their classroom.
