CREDIT RECOVERY/ACCELERATION PROGRAM
Credit Recovery is an alternative program for students who have failed at least one academic course and may be at risk of dropping out of school. It consists of a self contained classroom with a student/teacher ratio of no more than 15/1. It is a self-paced, accelerated, state approved curriculum. Students are expected to conform to program requirements in the school year as deemed appropriate and necessary by the placement committee.
Parental consent is required for students under 18 years of age. Before a high school diploma is awarded, students must also master the state exit level exam.
The acceleration facet of this program is designed for students who are interested in taking a course they have previously not attempted. These students will adhere to the same admission process and review of the placement committee.
