Welcome to Credit Recovery ! Please meet the staff:
Ms. Debbie Jackson

I am originally from Dallas, Texas and graduated from Thomas Jefferson HS. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Vocational Home Economics at East Texas State University (which is now a branch of Texas A&M at Commerce). I was hired by PTISD and taught Homemaking for 22 years. I started the dropout recovery, GED, program in 1995 and have been in this area since that time. I have always taught at PTHS and LOVE what I do. I am blessed to help young people get back on track to earn their credits and earn their high school diploma.

Ms. Elizabeth Cook

I am a proud Longview, Texas native. I attended Pine Tree through 8th grade and graduated from Longview High in 1997. After high school, I attended LeTourneau University and graduated Cum laude in 2002 with a B.S. in Business Administration. After working in sales, I realized that I wanted to pursue a career in education. So, I returned to LeTourneau to receive my teaching certification. Though graduating from LeTourneau was academically challenging, it was a highly rewarding experience. Because of its outstanding faculty and academic programs, I highly recommend the university for prospective college students.

I have been teaching for four years and have loved working with students of all ages from pre-kindergarten to high school. It’s my second year at Pine Tree helping students with their English courses in the credit recovery program. It is gratifying assisting students, because graduating from high school lays a positive foundation for a successful future.

Ms. Monika Marjason

From the time I was young, one of my favorite activities was “playing teacher”. I’ve always enjoyed school, as studying and learning came easy for me. I have attended Indiana University and Kilgore College, and am proud to consider myself a lifelong learner. I’ve been an Instructional Assistant for 17 years…12 years at the elementary level in Elkhart, Indiana (near Notre Dame University), and 5 years here at PineTree High School. I fell in love with Longview when I came to visit during Spring break of 2001, and persuaded my family to move here the following summer.

I live in Longview with Dan, my high school sweetheart and husband of 37 years and Shadow, our Cocker Spaniel. Dan and I have two grown daughters, Anna and Sarah. Anna also lives in Longview, while Sarah lives near Nashville, Tennessee. Family has always been of the utmost importance to me, and I feel so fortunate to be a member of the PineTree family, assisting students in Credit Recovery so that they can graduate from high school with the skills needed to become productive citizens.
