We want to thank each of you for being so patient and cooperative as we continue to implement safety measures on our campus. Please be reminded of the following as you visit our campus:

*Please sign in and out each time you visit us. Remember that we have moved our sign in sheet into the office!

*Bring your driver’s license!! Each time you visit our campus we will scan your license and issue you a Visitor’s Tag. This tag will display your name, picture and the date of your visit.

*We will also ask to see your license if you are picking up your child. We are trying to learn everyone and seeing your license will verify your identity, allowing us to release your child safely into your care.

**We want to thank everyone for helping us with smooth traffic flow in the morning and afternoon!! It has been great!! We ask that you continue to refrain from walking your child across the street during the morning drop off time and from picking them up at the front door during afternoon pick up time. This has allowed our circle drive traffic to keep moving!



A few more reminders:

*Continue to check your child’s backpack and/or folder daily. There are a lot of fun things happening here at PTE and notes are sent home when needed to keep you informed!

*The weather is turning cooler and sweaters/jackets are being left!!! We have a “lost and found” and we encourage you to have your child check it often! Putting your child’s name in their sweater/jacket will help us return it if it is lost!

*We invite and encourage you to be an active member in PTA. Watch for meeting dates to be sent home soon!

*We LOVE volunteers! If you would like to be a volunteer on our campus, please contact your child's teacher. You will need to complete a volunteer application and have a background check completed. We hope to see you on our campus!

**Dates to Remember:
*Friday, January 18 - Early Release - 1:00 pm
*Monday, January 21 and Tuesday, January 22 - No school!

All students must be dropped off and picked up in the circle drive. Between the hours of 7:30 and 8:05, please do not park in the parking lot across from the school and walk children into the building.
**Parents, you are invited to have lunch with your children!Because of limited table space, students are asked not to invite a "student" guest to eat with them.
Things to remember:
*Our school day begins at 8:00 and ends at 3:00 each day.
*Please sign in when you visit us! We have moved the sign in sheet inside the office. You will also be asked to wear a "VISITOR" tag while you are here with us!
*Any changes in afternoon release must be submitted in writing. This may be done by sending a note to school, by email or by fax. Our fax number is 903-295-5126. Please understand that we cannot accept changes over the phone.

We continue to ask that parents not walk children across the street in the morning or pick up children at the front of the building in the afternoon. This has made our line go so much faster!!! Thank you for understanding our request and for working with us as a team!! We appreciate you all!!

Teacher request forms for students entering grades 1 – 6 will be available April 14 – 28. Teacher request forms for students entering Kindergarten will be available April 28 – May 9. All teacher request forms must be returned to your child’s current campus. For specific teacher requests to be considered, eight names must be listed on the request forms. Teacher request forms picked up at your child’s current campus have a list of the next grade level’s teachers on the back. If printing your request form from the district website, please refer to campus webpages for a list of teachers at each grade level.
