When may I enroll my child?
Students moving to the district during the school year may enroll anytime during the year by taking the appropriate records to the school office. During the school year, students and parents are invited to tour their prospective school.
What should I bring with me to enroll my child?
Proof of Residency
One of the following items will be accepted as proof of residencey:
Voter I.D.
Utility bill or utility connect order (not a telephone bill).  If presenting a utility bill, you must bring the entire bill. Only a bill from SWEPCO, City of Longview Water, Entex or Lone Star Gas, or Southwestern Bell will be accepted.
A copy of your purchase contract including your name and address.
A copy of your current lease including your name and address.
A tax statement including your name and address.
Mortgage payment book, lease agreement, rent receipt, contract for construction of new home.  If presenting a lease agreement, it must include the names of all children. 

Guardianship
Parents and legal guardians are the only persons who can enroll a student. If you are not the parent, you must be able to provide legal guardianship papers.

School Records 
If your child enters Pine Tree Elementary at any time other than the first of school, withdrawal papers and the most current report card will be required from the previous school. An end of year report card is not required to enroll but is very helpful. If you have any past standardized test scores, please provide these also.
 
Immunizations
State law requires current immunizations when a student is enrolled. Please read this carefully. All enrolling students must meet all immunization requirements before being permitted to enroll. The parent or legal guardian is responsible for providing all immunization documents for the enrolling student before enrollment can be completed. Acceptable immunization documents are limited to official health records from the previous school(s) attended and/or records verified by a licensed physician or public health personnel. An up-to-date record of immunizations will include the following: 4 D.P.T. (with one of these on or after the fourth birthday) 3 Polio (with one of these on or after the fourth birthday) Tuberculin Test (after the first birthday 2 Rubeola, Rubella, and Mumps (the first one after the first birthday, end on or after 5th birthday) Hepatitis B...children born on or after Sept. 2, 1993, 3 doses Please check with your doctor or health clinic regarding updating immunizations.

Personal Documentation 
The following items must be presented upon enrollment:
Student's social security card or SS# verification on the student's previous school records.
Student's birth certificate.
Copies of court instruments relating to adoption, guardianship or custody if applicable.
Proof of residency (please see above).
