Welcome to Pre-K. I am Mrs. Peterson and I have the pleasure of educating your child this year. I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington and received my teacher certification from LeTourneau University. I have been teaching for four years. I am excited about learning and hope that my lust for learning rubs off on each of my students. Pre-K is an exciting milestone in a child's life. Together we can make it the best year ever!)

I am Mrs. Jones and I have been with Pine Tree ISD as a teaching assistant for 8 years. I am a proud graduate of Pine Tree High School class of '93. Mrs. Peterson and I have been working together the last 3 years. I am looking forward to a GREAT year.
Mrs. Peterson's Class Goals
Identify All Letters
Produce at least 15 sounds
Correctly write name
Count to 30+
Recognize a circle, triangle, rectangle,square and rhombus
Create and/or extend patterns
Sort objects by size, shape, and color
The 2nd Nine Weeks we will focus on letters Gg-Mm. Please continue to work with your child at home to ensure they are understanding what is being taught in class.
Our goal is to be able to count to 30 and beyond. We will be able to identify numbers 0-30 before school is out.
Other Goals for the 2nd Nine Weeks:
Be able to write name independently
Count to 20 without assistance
Recall all previous letters
Create and extend a simple pattern
Tell about parts of a book and identify authors and illustrators
Homework will be Tuesday and Thursday. Homework is due the next day. Please have crayons, scissors, glue and pencils at home.
