Accounting
Accounting introduces the principles and practices of double-entry accounting while developing the skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary for successfully managing a business or personal finances. Students will learn accounting as an information system by keeping accurate records and learning the accounting equation. This course is strongly recommended for students who plan on majoring in business in college.
Record Keeping
Record Keeping involves the basic requirements for keeping records for both personal and business use. Students are required to process many types of cash records including: cash registers, bank loans, credit cards, checking accounts, personal budgets, accounts receivable, accounts payable and payrolls.
Accounting II
This advanced accounting course expands on topics learned in the first-year course while adding new topics about management accounting, cost accounting, not-for-profit accounting, and financial analysis. The study of a second year of accounting helps qualify students for jobs and careers at higher levels than one year of study would allow and is an excellent preparation for college business and accounting courses and business majors. This course is strongly recommended for students who plan on majoring in business in college.
