Hi! I'm Glenn Wells and I direct the Pine Tree High School Band. I began teaching band in 1980 and came to Pine Tree as head director in 2005. I have taught at several school districts in our area, including Kilgore ISD, Overton ISD, and Gladewater ISD. I am a native of Northeast Texas and graduated valedictorian from Union Grove High School. I attended Kilogre College from 1975-77 and completed my bachelors and both masters degrees (Music and Educational Leadership) at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches.

I am married to Tracy, who also teaches at PTHS. We have two sons, Kirk and John. Kirk is a music major at SFA and John plays trombone in the PT Band.

I am very excited about the Pine Tree band program. The band participates in UIL Marching, Concert and Sight Reading Contests each year. We will also have many other activites throughout the year including All Region, AREA, and STATE auditions, and varying levels of UIL Solo & Ensemble competition. In addition the band will have other community and school performances as well.

It is a pleasure directing the band students of Pine Tree and I continue to look forward to "bigger and better" things in the future.
