Mr. Rollins comes to us from Henderson ISD where he was the jazz band and assistant band director for the past four years. Prior to Henderson he served as the Director of Bands at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas for eighteen years. He also taught four years at Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe, Louisiana. Rollins' career included nine years at high schools in Louisiana and Mississippi.
As an adjudicator and clinician, he has traveled across the United States. His travels have been greatly expanded through his love of scuba diving. Mr. Rollins has attained numerous levels of certification including a teaching certification in the sport. He enjoys golfing and was the campus racquetball champion two consecutive years at Henderson State University.
Born and raised in Natchez, Mississippi, he married his high school sweetheart Linda. In October they will celebrate their 40th anniversary. They have one son, James, who lives with his wife, Tara and three year old grandson, Grant near Hot Springs, Arkansas. |
