Daniel Curry currently serves as Assistant Band Director and Director of Percussion for Pine Tree High School. Prior to his appointment at Pine Tree Mr. Curry was employed by Kaufman ISD and Redwater ISD.

Bands and percussion ensembles under Mr. Curry’s direction have consistently been rated superior and received numerous outstanding section awards. In 2008, the Kaufman High School Drumline was named Grand Champion of the Paris Drumline Clinic and Contest. Under Curry’s direction, the 2009 Kaufman High School non-varsity concert band earned sweepstakes in UIL concert and sight reading contest, the first non-varsity to do so in school history.

Mr. Curry is a graduate of Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He is a member of Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association and has served at the state level for the Association of Texas Small School Bands. Mr. Curry enjoys spending time with his wife Dana and children Bret, Taylor and Nova.
