Meet the Pirates: Football Fan Fest!

The Annual “Meet the Pirates Night”, Pine Tree’s preseason football fan fest, is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 31, at the “Pirate Center”, the newest and largest gym on the PT High School campus starting at 7:00pm. This year's event will once again be a free - family friendly event for everyone in the community.

Pirate football fans are invited to bring the whole family for a fun and entertaining event and to get to know the 2010 Pine Tree football team along with head coach Huey Chancellor and staff. Activities will include performances by the PTHS Band, Cheerleaders and Precision Drill Team, and will include an autograph session with the football Pirates.

The Pirates open the 2010 home schedule Friday, Sept. 3 against the Henderson with a 7:30pm kickoff scheduled. Ticket information is available online at www.ptisd.org or by calling the PTHS Athletic office at 903-295-5142.

Welcome Back

Dear Students and Parents,
On behalf of Pine Tree High School, welcome to PTHS! Thank you for choosing Pine Tree High School and I look forward to a great 2010-2011 school year! I am very proud of the accomplishments of our students and staff and I know we will have many more opportunities to celebrate success together. From the very beginning, I want you to know you are important to us! Let’s work together to make every day a great day which in turn makes it a great year! YOU are the reason PTHS is a GREAT PLACE! Pirate Pride Begins With You!

Principal, Cynthia Gabehart
Cell Phone Policy
Pine Tree High School seeks to provide a safe and supportive learning community where respect is demonstrated at all levels. Students are not allowed to access their cell phones or electronic devices during the school day because of serious issues such as cheating, skipping class with other students, taking inappropriate pictures, disrupting class, etc. When a staff member asks a student to turn in his/her cell phone, the student is expected to comply. On the third refusal, a student will be assigned 20 days to Pine Tree ISD’s alternative campus, P.A.C.E. The district’s policy addressing cell phone/electronic devices is on page 23 in the student handbook.
