Qualifications:

  Any student wishing to file to run for Student Council:
 -Must be at least 8 years old
 -Must have been enrolled at Pine Tree Intermediate since September 1, 2011
 -Must be a Pine Tree Pirate
 -Must exhibit responsible traits
 -Must maintain a grade of 80 or above in all subjects
 -Must maintain a conduct grade of 96 or above each six weeks
 -Must turn in work on time.
 -Must get messages to parents and teachers.
 -Keeps work area and notebook organized.
-Makes good choices and represents the Pine Tree Intermediate campus with pride.
 ***(If a student fails a subject or his/her conduct grade falls below a 96 for a 6 weeks grading period, he/she is put on probation for the following six weeks period. If the grade is not brought up to passing, the student must resign his/her position as student council representative and the alternate will take over.)

    Student Council By-Laws

Pine Tree Intermediate Elected representatives of the Intermediate School Student Council must abide by the rules of the council. If the rules are not followed, then the following will occur:

1. A representative will be replaced if unable to achieve passing grades of 80 in all subjects and a 96 in conduct.

2. A representative will be replaced is he/she reaches more than three absences from meetings (doctor’s excuse only).

3. A representative will be replaced if he/she begins to have discipline problems.

4. If any member has a discipline problem, then a student-teacher conference will be held.

5. If the problem persists, an office referral will be made and the council sponsors will be notified.

6. Parents will be notified.
