Discipline Plan
2008-2009
Classroom discipline problems can be a roadblock to effective teaching and learning. In order to provide your child with the excellent learning environment he/she deserves, discipline problems must be kept to a minimum. Therefore, I will be utilizing the following discipline plan.
Classroom Rules:
1. Listen carefully
2. Follow directions
3. Work quietly
4. Respect others
5. Respect school and personal property
Individual Rewards used for good behavior:
1. Stickers
2 Extra privileges
3. Treasure Chest Coupon
4. Principal Pal
The following plan is enforced for negative behaviors:
First time student disobeys: Warning
Second time: Sign Discipline log and miss 10 minutes of recess
Third time: Put check by name in Discipline Log; miss 20 minutes of recess; note sent to parents
Fourth time: Call parents and/or send to principal
Severe behavior will result in removal to office or school wide time out.
A daily behavior chart is in your child's take home folder. Please initial the chart everyday and discuss any problems with your child if needed.
