Hi! I'm Jeff Cole and I teach chemistry. This is my seventh year at Pine Tree High School. I attended the University of Texas at Austin and received my B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering. After working over 20 years as an engineer in the chemical industry, I received my Post-Baccalaureate Degree in Secondary Education for Chemistry from Stephen F. Austin University in 2001.

Chemistry is a college preparatory course that combines laboratory experiences with explanations and problem solving enabling the student to understand chemistry and its application to biology, industry, and the environment. I encourage all students who are having difficulty with this demanding course to attend tutorials for extra help. Tutorials are held on a daily basis from 7:30am-8:00am and 3:25pm-3:55pm. Due to other teacher duties, I do not hold tutorials on Friday afternoons.

Labs are major grades. Lab makeups will be only be held every Tuesday afternoon at 3:30pm and Wednesday morning at 7:00am for the lab missed the previous five school days.
