In order to guarantee your child, and all of the students in the classroom, the excellent learning climate they deserve, we have based our discipline plan on the following philosophy: All students deserve a learning environment free of disruption. No student will be allowed to disrupt the teaching and learning process. Our definition of misbehavior includes any action that intentionally alters, disrupts, or threatens the learning environment.

RULES
1. Enter and leave in an orderly manner.
2. Permit classmates to learn and participate without distracting them.
3. Cooperate,listen,and participate in musical activities.
4. Treat all others with respect (verbally and physically).
5. Respect all music property.

CONSEQUENCES
1. Warning
2. 5 points deducted from participation grade for the week. Note- Each student will get a participation grade each week that will count toward their six weeks average. They will also get a grade for tests and daily work. Students will "sign in" so points deducted will be documented for both teacher and parent information.
3. If students have habitual problems with negative behavior, music teacher will speak to classroom teacher and parents if necessary.
4. Office will be notified if problem persists.
