Ms. J. Riggs
Satisfaction Begins When Comparison Ends
WELCOME!
I am so excited for the upcoming 2011-2012 school year! We will be working on many interesting and diverse projects in the Semester Art and ART I classes this year. I look forward to getting to know each and every one of my students and their parents. If you have questions or comments at any time throughout the year, please do not hesitate to contact me!
Teacher Bio and Contact Information
I graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler with a BFA in Studio Art. I worked in several mediums during my stay at UTTyler including printmaking, collage, ceramics, acrylic and oil painting, charcoal and graphite. I am also well-versed in Art history from prehistory to the post-modern era. It is my goal to expose my students not only to a variety of artistic mediums and techniques, but to also introduce them to important artists and art movements dating from the Renaissance all the way up to present day.
