Welcome to the Pine Tree Jr. High Library. The library is open each day from 7:30 to 3:40. It is open all day except during lunch from 12:30 to 1:00. Students are welcome to come to the library before, during, and after school to read, study, or research. Six computers with Internet access, Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel are available for student use. Students and parents may access the library catalog from any computer with Internet access at destiny.ptisd.org.

Students may check out two books for a loan period of ten school days. If a student has an overdue book or library fine, he or she may not check out another book until the overdue book is returned. A fine of ten cents per day is charged for overdue books.

The Library Reseach Page provides links to the World Book Encyclopedia, Encyclopedia Britannica, and the Cengage Learning/Gale Databases. These reference sources will provide students with reliable, accurate and up-to-date information for assignments, projects, and research papers. Students can access to these resources at school and home. Home access requires a User ID and password. Please see Mrs. Riley for the passwords.

Hello! My name is Jan Riley. I am the librarian at Pine Tree Jr. High. I graduated from Abilene Christian University with Bachelor of Science in Education in 1980 and a Masters of Library Science from Sam Houston State University in 2000.
