Pine Tree Junior High School is home to approximately 700 8th and 9th grade students and 70 staff members. Our staff is dedicated to students and the learning process. At PTJH, all students will have an opportunity to learn to work with others and prepare for challenges of the future.

There will be a yearbook signing party at 3 pm on Friday, May 2 in the cafeteria. Admission is $2 and includes a snack.

Students may pre-pay their $2 to Mrs. Brown in room 602 or pay at the door. If a student wants to pay at the door, THEY MUST SHOW THEIR MONEY TO THEIR 8TH PERIOD TEACHER AND PAY AND SIGN IN AT THE DOOR.

Books are available to purchase at the party for $40. On Monday, May 5 the price of the yearbook will raise to $45.

Ninth grade students: On Friday May 2nd, the 8th graders will be taking the Social Studies TAKS test. The testing period is going to be from 8:05-10:30 am. We are going to allow the 9th grade students to come in at 10:20 that day. We will have the gym and cafeteria available for those students who need to come in at the regular time. We will have students sign in for the gym or the cafeteria that morning, and that is where they will remain during the testing period. We will run a modified schedule after the test. May 2nd is a B day, which means 5th period will be short. There will be no advisory that day.
