Friday, May 11, was a day Pine Tree 8th and 9th graders really didn’t want to miss since principal Bob Jeter and his staff sponsored a TAKS Fun Day filled with games, movies, football, soccer, tennis, and basketball. The day of fun served as a reward to the Pine Tree Junior High students for their outstanding efforts on the April TAKS tests. Students enjoyed the faculty/freshman basketball game as well as board games, current movies, tennis, football, basketball, and soccer. Principal Jeter and resource officer Roger Askew even brought their horses to help during the festivities. In a thrilling basketball challenge, the faculty defeated the freshmen 47-46.
