I am so excited about my first year at Pine Tree Elementary! I am in my 12th year as a First Grade teacher. My husband Jerry is the Director of Special Education for PTISD, and I have 3 sons. We are all glad to be in Pine Tree.

We are all catching the reading bug! Our reading groups are named after insects: Ants, Caterpillars, Ladybugs, and Beetles. We are working very hard on using our letters to make words, sight words, and understanding what we read.
Please read with your child every night. Remember to write down what you read in their take home folder.

We are having some great Math moments. We are working on many Math skills at this time. Please continue to work on addition and subtraction, counting money and telling time at home.
