Million Dollar Project
This six weeks your objective is to spend $1,000,000. Use newspapers, advertisements, catalogs, magazines, internet, etc. to find items you wish to buy. Pictures or advertisements must include the price of the item. All prices must be rounded to the nearest dollar. You will not use any change. Glue the advertisement to a piece of paper and show the rounding to the nearest dollar, if necessary. Next, subtract the price of the item from the current balance of money. Keep rounding and subtracting until your current balance is $0. Calculations should be done with pencil/paper, no computers or calculators. Only two items may be placed on a page. You may not buy more than 2 of the same item or same type of item. For instance, you may not buy more than two pieces of jewelry, two appliances, two homes, two cars, etc. You must purchase at least 5 items but not more than 30 items.
All of the pages should be numbered and collected into a booklet. A cover sheet with the following information should be included.
