We continue to discuss the expectations of first grade.  We also review our CHAMPS behavior every day.

We will review and learn the following concepts: Read and write numbers 1-20, Identify repeating patterns and extend, Read time to the hour and match digital and analog clocks, add and subtract concrete and pictorial models and Use correct terminology for 2-D shapes when using pattern blocks. Identifying coins and their values.

We will review the alphabet letters and sounds and that sounds make up words.  We will begin learning new vocabulary and using that vocabulary in stories in our group reading.  We will also review phonics learned in Kindergarten and use what was learned to build new phonic knowledge.
