Welcome to our fifth grade science and social studies website! We have many exciting topics to learn about this year. Our science explorations will take us on a journey through life, earth, and physical science. In social studies we will study the history of our great country.

As most of you know, science is a TAKS tested subject in fifth grade. We are going to do everything we can to prepare your child for this very important assessment. We need for you to be involved in this process! At-home activities should include the study of vocabulary words found in your child's science journals. A continual review is much better than a last minute rush to learn the terms. We will begin this year with Life Science, followed by Physical Science, then Earth Science. The nature of Science will be covered and reviewed throughout the year.
