Conferences / Conference Time 2:05-2:50 |
You will have one conference per semester in addition to the six weeks report card. We will file many of your child’s papers and send them home on Tuesdays for you to examine. You will be asked to sign and return the folder each time so that we can be sure you are informed about your child’s daily progress. Please return the papers, they are kept on file for 6-weeks. Should you wish a conference before we notify you, please use the space provided in the folder for comments and we will be happy to schedule one. We believe that parent-teacher conferences are extremely important because through our communication we can better ascertain methods of helping your child. If we call for a conference at an inconvenient time for you, just send a note and we will be happy to reschedule at a more convenient time.

I NEED TO REACH YOU |
PLEASE send a note if your telephone or address changes during the school year. This is also needed in regard to place of employment so that we can reach you in case of an emergency. |
|
LEAVING CAMPUS |
If your child needs to be picked up during the school day, please send me a note with the approximate time. ALL students must be signed out through the office for their safety. |
|
LUNCH TIME: 11:40-12:10 |
If your child does not bring a lunch from home, please make sure that you have purchased lunch credits for the cafeteria. I would prefer that your child have lunch credits rather than money. You may purchase as many meals as you need and loss of money will, hopefully, not be a problem. Parents/Grandparents are welcome to join us. You may sit with the class or sit at the round tables near the cafeteria entrance. |
|
SPECIAL CONCERNS |
At some time during this year, your family may experience some difficult situations, such as death, divorce, severe illness, or a change in financial security. If you feel that this may impair your child’s ability to do well academically or socially, please call me. I will gladly work with you to assist your child during this period of time. Our campus has an excellent counselor, Mr. James Calloway, who can, also, offer one-to-one counseling of placement in a group with similar needs. |
|
TRANSPORTATION |
Children need to know how they will get home each day. Please communicate clearly with your child as to how he/she will get home when you make changes. You MUST send a note with your child if a change is being made. It will be placed on our message board to remind us of this change. |
|
BIRTHDAYS |
Birthdays are certainly special. Due to the new guidelines established by the Agricultural Commission, we are only able to have edible treats brought to the classroom after our lunch time. Party invitations may be distributed if they include all of the children in our class. |
