Welcome to Mrs. Smith's Kindergarten Classroom!

My name is Lisa Smith. I am married and I have two children. My son, Jordan, is a Sophomore at Mississippi State University where he is a member of the "Famous Maroon Band" -Go Dawgs! My daughter, Caroline, is a Junior at PTHS. She also is in band, "The Pride", and is a Majorette. Go Pirates!

I have taught pre-school, 1st grade, 2nd grade , and Kindergarten. Kindergarten is my favorite of all! I love this age so much because they are so eager to learn and everything is exciting and new! This is my 12th year to teach here at Pine Tree Primary. I am very excited to have your child in my class. We are going to have a great year!

Our day begins at 8:00 and ends at 3:15. Please have your child here on time everyday. We would not want them to miss out on anything. Our day is full and every minute counts. Thank you for helping with this.

Your child's folder is VERY important. It will have any notes from school, how great their day was, and any other important information that you will need to know. If you ever need to send any note to school that is the place to put it. I check folders every morning. If you ever need to contact me my conference time is from 11:00-11:45 everyday. Please help your child write their name with an upper case letter at the beginning and all lower case letters for the rest of their name.(If your child has another upper case letter in their name, then please have them to write it in upper case too.) The more they practice doing it this way the better they will become in writing it correctly. Thank you for all of your help.
