Pine Tree is a great school district. This will be my twelth year with the district. This is my fifth year as a Pine Tree administrator and my fourth year as the assistant principal of Pine Tree Intermediate School. Before serving as the assistant principal for PTI, I served as assistant principal at the Middle 7 campus, before the building became our district PACE center, as well as the Gifted and Talented specialist for the district, serving all campuses and all grade levels to help meet the needs of our gifted learners. I taught 5th grade at the Middle 5/6 campus for seven years and for three years, taught on a team that was designed to serve Academically Gifted Minors. I believe that it takes a whole village to raise a child. School, community, and family must work together to build a solid foundation with one common bond, the child’s best interest. It is also my belief to be proactive rather than reactive in terms of student discipline. Communication is the key to success in all aspects of life. I would also love to hear about the things going on here at the Intermediate campus that are worthy of praise. My commitment to academic excellence coupled with my desire for meeting students’ social, emotional, and developmental needs is compatible with the vision of Pine Tree Independent School District.
