Reading skills are vitally important to almost everything we do. In 8th grade reading we work on critical thinking skills and reading comprehension. The Accelerated Reading program is one key ingredient of our program - 50% of a student's six-week grade comes from AR points. Approximately half of our class time is spent in silent reading of a book that the student chooses.
