Basic Speech Attire
Four of the test presentations are less formal in nature. For these performances, students will be eligible for a "100" as long as they wear clothing that conforms to regular PTISD dress code standards. However, students who choose to dress in a more formal way will be rewarded with extra credit points. Two of the test presentations are formal (Pageant Speech and Mock Job Interview). In order to be eligible for a "100" on these two assignments, students will be required to dress in a more formal fashion.
Formal Attire (Ladies)
Ladies must wear any of the following: dress, blouse and skirt, blouse and dress slacks, and "dressy" footwear. Clothing should be suitable for a job interview or church. For the Pageant Speech, prom gowns are acceptable, and will earn more points.
Formal Attire (Gentlemen)
Gentlemen must wear a dress shirt and tie with khaki pants, and "dressy" footwear. Clothing should be suitable for a job interview or church. Wearing a business suit will earn more points. For the Pageant Speech, tuxedos are also acceptable, and will earn more points.
Other Extra Effort Attire
Students may also receive extra credit by wearing a costume or specialty clothing (i.e. a lab coat, athletic uniforms, etc.), when appropriate.
