Cliff Lightfoot

Welcome to Pine Tree Middle School! My name is Cliff Lightfoot and this is my second year as principal, my 8th year as an administrator with Pine Tree ISD. I consider it an honor and a privilege to work with the best students and the best staff in East Texas!

Before moving to Pine Tree, I taught and coached in Mexia, College Station, and Cameron for a total of 14 years. I received my bachelors degree and teaching certification from East Texas State University (now Texas A&M – Texarkana) in 1991. I earned a masters degree and principal certification from Texas A&M University in 1998. I am in the process of earning my doctorate from Texas A&M – Commerce, having already completed my superintendent certification from that institution.

My wife, Mary, teaches 5th grade math at Pine Tree Middle School. I have two children: Dillon, who is in the 8th grade, and Callie, a 6th grader. Both are proud Pine Tree Pirates!
We at Pine Tree Middle School are excited about the opportunity to work with your child. Our wonderful teachers and staff work tirelessly to be at their very best for our students.

We invite you to visit our beautiful campus often to enjoy lunch with your child. You may also call our school office for information on opportunities to volunteer your time and services at our school. If you are familiar with Pine Tree ISD, we think you will recognize the Pine Tree commitment to excellence in all that we do here at Pine Tree Middle School. If you are new to Pine Tree, we welcome you!
