Community Problem Solving |
This year the AGM students are participating in Community Problem Solving, which is sponsored by the Texas Education Agency. This is a wonderful project and encompasses many of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for sixth grade Language Arts. It will teach your child the steps to problem solving and how to take an active role in their community. Community Problem Solving is student centered enabling each child to apply their critical thinking skills at a higher level. The project has been adopted by the state for approximately fifteen years. While this project has been a part of TEA for many years, it is new to the district of Pine Tree.
There are so many ways by which the AGM students could be involved in their community. Narrowing our project to just one need was very hard. This year students will be working to serve the Veterans of our Longview community. They would like to share the stories of these heroes so that we can restore patriotism and honor those who have served our country.
If you would like to view the power point presentation from last year's project that the students made, please click on the download link below.
