Tips for choir families
Tips and suggestions from past and current members:

1. Please come to booster meetings and volunteer for things. You are really needed to make the year successful!

2. Extra costs/expenses to consider:
t-shirts, choir fee (uniform cleaning, CD’s, pencils, folders, etc.) Dinner Theater Tickets, Pop Concert tickets, banquet tickets, formal dresses (hair, shoes, etc.), Men need a tuxedo shirt, group pictures (year book, football program), personal ad’s for pop show, Opera tickets and choir buddy gifts.

3. Bring your camera with you to all functions. Pictures always come in handy and are needed later for spring concert.

4. Ask questions; seek out parents of returning choir members and ask questions. Remember, your sons and daughters are working so hard – support with a smile. Always check & double check that your son/daughter has all the items needed.

5. Advice; Get Involved!!! That is the only way you will meet the other parents. The more you put into it, the more you will get out of it.

6. Flexibility is the key. Always be prepared to spend more – prepare for dresses, hair, etc!

7. Plan to budget a little extra if you’re on a tight budget because there are always little things that come up.

8. Make being a big brother/sister or little brother/sister a big deal! Also, if you are the big sister, be a MENTOR and a FRIEND!

9. DON’T BE SHY. GET OUT AND TALK TO OTHER PARENTS. THEY ARE REALLY NICE AND SUPPORTIVE.
