Hi! My name is Martha Schwartz. I've lived in Longview since graduating from East Texas Baptist University in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science degree. I began teaching at Pine Tree Elementary in 1973. I taught second grade for eight years and then stayed home for seven years to have time with my two sons. During the time away from P.T.E. I taught half day kindergarten at Jordan Country Day School for three years before returning in 1992 to continue teaching second grade.

I am married to Bob Schwartz and have two sons, Stephen and David. We have two dogs, Dixie, a chocolate lab and Scheiner, a weimaraner. Spending time with my family and dogs, traveling, and reading are my favorite things to do in my leisure time. My family and I have been members of Mobberly Baptist Church since moving to Longview. Teaching second grade is my love. I'm looking forward to getting to know my new class and parents for the 2008/09 school year!
