Reading |
 |
 |
It is extremely important that your child reads every night. After about the third week of school, they should be bringing home a book to read daily (with the exception of Friday). It is also great to read to your child. This sets the model for good expressive reading and for listening/comprehension. Remember practice is KEY!

Poem of the week |
Tooth
A tooth fell out and left a spce
So big my tongue could touch my face.
And every time I smile, I show
a space where something used to grow.
I miss my tooth as you can guess
But then, I have to brush one less!
Your child will be reading one poem each week of the school year. We will do various activities with the poem daily. They will bring their poetry folder home on Fridays. Please listen to them read the poem and initial that they read it. Return the folder back to school with your child on Monday.
