FISH CAMP COMES TO INTERMEDIATE |
Hello "Fish"ing Fans,
We have had some great "fish" ing days here at the Intermediate school. We have netted some great catches. Just between you and me, here at "Fish Camp" we believe in "catching and keeping" what we learn. The "FISH campers" are focusing on producing correct sounds in their connected speech as well as retelling stories using their best sentences. |

One exciting addition to FISH Camp is the Hearit Systems which was a part of the 2008 Pine Tree Education Foundation Grant that was awarded to all speech therapists working for Pine Tree ISD. This will be a valuable tool that will help children while they are trying to "catch their best sounds."

Before I pull up anchor and set sail again, I would like to let everyone know that "Fish Camp" is an acronym that represents what the children will do when they attend their sessions which is "Focusing on Improving their Speaking and Hearing." Better communication skills are always worthy of being called "the best catch of the day." |

Parents and teachers can help their "FISH" campers by encouraging their speech efforts at home and at school.
