We have identified several goals that we want to accomplish with all of our students by the end of kindergarten.

Master basic reading skills including recognizing and writing letters and words, develop basic decoding skills, and knowledge about books.

Master basic math skills including counting objects, number recognition, and patterning.

Learn to listen and follow directions.

Treat others and property with respect.

Demonstrate self-control in order to work cooperatively with others.

In addition to a strong academic foundation, we want to provide our students with specific information about attitudes, traits, and behaviors that will help them succeed in school and throughout their lives. Pine Tree Primary School has developed Guidelines for Success to represent the attitudes and actions that we hope our students will learn from us to help them succeed in our classes, in future classes, in their hobbies, and in life in general.
