It is my pleasure to serve as your Secondary PTA President for another year. We have many new changes this year. The 7th grade will be at the Jr. High, the 9th grade will move to the high school, and we have a new principal at the high school. With all these transitions, it will take both the administration and parents working together to make this a great year.
With your support, Pine Tree Secondary PTA is able to provide many services including: teacher grants, summer school scholarships, teacher appreciation lunches, participation in Arts in Education, organize volunteers at both campuses, and many other activities. As our only fundraiser, Secondary PTA produces the Pirate Planner. This is a wonderful organizational tool for both students and parents. It has all the extra-curricular dates, important school dates, and shows whether the school day is an A day or B day. Please support the PTA by purchasing a planner for you and your student. It will be very informative and helpful to you.
Our board and general membership will meet jointly on Wednesdays from 12:00-1:00 pm. Meeting dates for the coming year will be September 10, November 12, February 4, March 11, and May 13. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend. It is my goal for the meetings to end promptly at 1:00 pm. Please consider joining PTA. Dues are just $5 per parent. If you have a child on the Jr. High campus and the High School campus, your single check for $5 will entitle you to membership for both children. You may also include an additional tax-deductible donation if you desire.
