Pirate Pals |
Pine Tree Primary has a great program that emphasizes and rewards good behavior. Every month, 2 or more students from my class will be able to go to Kid's Station, along with children from other classes, as a reward for outstanding behavior. Please remind your child of this as a means of encouraging them to do their best every day at school!

*Bring new water bottles every Monday to school. Please try to have them labeled with their name.
*Every Friday we will be doing our letter Sound Box. Please encourage your child to bring items from home or to cut pictures out of magazines that will represent the letter we are learning that week.
*Library books need to be returned so that your child can check out extra books. Our library day is Monday and if the library is open, we will check out extra books on Tuesday and Thursday. Please be sure to write in their folders the books that you are reading together so that they can recieve credit for their report cards. | |

STAR WORDS |
Please work on the flashcards that I sent home. When your child learns all the star words, have them practice learning how to spell them.
The alphabet flashcards were created to help your child recognize the upper and lowercase letters. You can have them practice by matching the letters together. You can also have them work on the sounds that each letter makes. | | |

Mabus End of Year Checklist |
Graduation Pictures/Spring Pictures- PLEASE send back the pictures and/or money back to school ASAP.
_ May 14th-Safety City- Please sign the permission slip and send the $3 to school so that your child can participate in Safety City. Please send your child to school in their class t-shirt as well as tennis shoes-NO FLIP FLOPS-they will be participating in various activities and will need tennis shoes on.
_May 26th-No school today
_May 29th-Party favors and money are due-please send your money-$3 for kids station, $4 for the classroom party food. Each student will send 20 of the same thing (one for each child in the classroom). We will all fill a bucket with our treasures! It does not have to be expensive-be creative and use your imagination. I have bought bubbles for the kids. If you have a business or access to a business that gives away coupons or free items appropriate for a child, feel free to send that. I really need all items to be turned in today.
_Graduation-May 30th-IMPORTANT it will begin at9:00 a.m. at the Junior High gym. Please Do Not arrive ANY EARLIER than 8:15am. At 8:15 you will be allowed to enter at the front doors of the school. The junior high students will not start their first class until then. Please do not send your child to school with a backpack or their folder. You will be able to sign them out after graduation and we will not bring those items with us to graduation. If you visit the web site www.ptisd.org and then click to ABOUT PTISD then click MAPS OR MAPS OF SCHOOLS, you will find a map of the Junior High location.

_June 2nd-Outside Centers (weather permitting)-Please send your child to school in their class t-shirt. Please also send them to school with sunscreen already on. We will be outside for most of the day today. Hats are allowed.
_June 3rd-We will have an end of year party in the classroom as well as a visit to Kids Station. Please send your child to school in their class t-shirt(send socks if your child wears flip flops). The party will be held in the classroom at 11:00. Parents are invited to attend-please note that the money sent to school will be used for the kiddos lunch, drinks, and sweet treat!
