Dr. Quentin Woods is beginning his second year as principal of Pine Tree Intermediate School. Previous administrative experience includes serving as principal of Weldon Intermediate School in Gladewater, assistant principal at Gladewater HS, assistant principal/athletic coordinator at Coppell Middle School West, and athletic coordinator at Coppell Middle School North. Dr. Woods began his career as an English Language Arts teacher and football coach. He coached and/or taught in several districts including Coppell, Irving, Tatum, and Waco Midway.
Dr. Woods is originally from Lorena, a small town south of Waco, where he attended high school followed by McLennan Community College. He completed his Bachelor’s, Master’s, and most recently, his doctorate from Stephen F. Austin State University. Ax’em Jacks!!
Outside of school, Dr. Woods is active with his family, church, and other varied interests. He has been married for twelve years to his wife, Julie, and he has two daughters, Elle and Brynn. Dr. Woods enjoys collecting Christian heavy metal and hard rock music from the “hair band” era. Quentin is a loyal fan of the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs where he grew up as a child.
