SPELLING |

Spelling Lists are given out every Monday. Each student also receives a spelling chart. Spelling charts are due on Friday, test day.

VOCABULARY |

Vocabulary lists are also given out on Monday of each week. The vocabulary words are from our weekly story. A test will be given over the list on Friday.

READING |

The class reads a new story each week. The students have an opportunity to read the story with a group, the teacher, and on their own. The class is tested on the story each Friday.

MATH |

Homework is given in math at least every other week. The homework is assigned on Monday and is due on Friday of the same week. Please feel free to go over the assignment with your child.

ACCELERATED READER |

The AR program is a program that helps to strengthen you child's reading comprehension. Each child has a reading zone appropriate to their reading levels. They need to check out books weekly on their levels, read the books, and test over them in class. Each student is required to reach their given goal each six weeks. I will help you monitor your child's progress with updates every three weeks.
