I want this year to be an exciting adventure in learning and it begins right now! It is very important to set the stage for a positive learning environment. We must work together and certain expectations about classroom behavior are vital. Teamwork is a must!

1. Be prepared.

Come to class each day with the following:
A. Blue or black pen, pencil, paper
B. Spiral notebook
C. Folder
D. Assignments.
** Students will have a World History textbook at home. We will have a classroom set provided for you to use in class.

2. Please follow the following classroom rules:
A. Listen carefully when ANYONE is talking.
B. Follow directions.
C. Work quietly. Do not disturb others.
D. Know the guidelines in the student handbook.

3. Discussion guidelines.
Use good manners. Be positive and respectful. Everyone should listen and participate in class discussions. Think!

4. Reading your homework assignments is important. Quizzes will be given over reading assignments. They will be averaged together for a major test grade.

5. Cheating will not be tolerated.

6. Folders will be required. You will be responsible for keeping everything in the folder IN ORDER! Organization is essential.

7. Failure to turn in textbook at the end of the year will result in loss of exemption.
