My class is a combination of many ways to improve study skills and grades. Starting the second week, we will start every class by reading the newspaper for 10 minutes and discussing the contents. After the paper, the students will alternate days. One day they will do my work and the next day, they will be able to finish homework, read a book, study for a test, etc. Sleeping is not allowed.
 This will be my 34th year in education. I have been at Pine Tree Jr. High for 14 years. I graduated from Harlandale High School in San Antonio and from SFA in Nacogdoches. My wife is also a teacher in Pine Tree and we have three children. My conference is 2nd period and the school number is 903-295-5081 if you have any questions. We are now into observation practice. we are watching old Andy Griffith videos and taking a test over what we saw. Starting on Nov. 14th we are moving into everyday vocabulary words. These are words they might have heard or just words they may use in everyday vocabulary that they may not know the exact definition. We will do 10 per day and then there will be a test at the end of the 6 weeks.
