Welcome to Mrs. Akana's 5th grade math. Thank you for sharing your child with me. It will be a pleasure to teach your student. I promise to do my best every day to be your child's companion in learning. As most of you are aware, math is a TAKS tested subject this year.We are going to be doing everything we can to prepare each student for this important test. We will be covering different topics in math. In order to aid in the accomplishment of our goals, I would ask for you to be involved in your child's learning as much as you can.
