Greetings to all the families of my students. I do hope everyone enjoyed the holidays. The children came back to school ready to learn.

Last week I did running records and fluency checks for the class. I am proud to say there was improvement for each of the students. This week we have been taking our reading and math benchmark tests. This is preparation for the TAKS tests next year as well as being an assessment of the knowledge and skills they have learned so far this year in class.

Thank you for supporting your child in school by helping with studies each week. Be sure to help your child with spelling every week. Also read with them on a regular basis.

Report cards will be sent home on Friday, January 25.
