The PTHS Debate Team is an educational and competitive class. Students must enroll in the debate class to participate. Debate teaches critical thinking, research, writing skills, persuasive communication, and the ability to see both sides of important issues. It also fosters leadership, citizenship, and self-confidence. Team members practice during class and after school; competitions may include weekend trips. Students may enroll beginning in ninth grade. |
