What to expect? |
We will continue discussing strategies for developing competitive scholarship applications and college applications. Students will be reminded throughout the year to work on building their resumes as well as developing their college essays.
The students will begin reading "The Crucible" in class. Students will learn more about the correlation between the McCarthy era and the Salem witch trials.
Students will continue a brief grammar refresher of the parts of the speech.
Three units of SAT vocabulary will be given each six weeks. Students will receive twenty (20) words which they will define and use. There will be vocabulary quizzes at the end of each unit and a vocabulary notebook due at the end of each six weeks.
Our goal for the year is to be prepared for the EXIT Level TAKS, ACT, and SAT tests. |
